Sandstone Catering Policies

Securing Dates:
Due to the high demand for event dates, Sandstone Catering has implemented the following policy: in order to guarantee a specific date for an event, we require a $500.00 (Five Hundred Dollar) deposit. This security deposit is considered valid for a period of 30 (Thirty) days.  A formal proposal must be presented to the client and the secured monies applied to the invoiced amount during this time frame. In the event of a time lapse, the security deposit will be returned to the client and the date re-opened for booking.

Catering Proposal:
In an attempt to expedite the proposal process, we will meet with the client for a one hour free consultation in order to understand the dynamics of the event. Sandstone Catering proposes events based on Food/ Beverage Cost, Staffing, Event Planning and Services (e.g., Rentals, Music, Valet, etc.) Once the proposal has been accepted by the client, a signed copy of the proposal must be forwarded to Sandstone Catering along with a 50% (Fifty Percent) deposit. Balance of the invoice is due on the day of the event.

Guaranteed Attendance:
   A final guarantee of attendance is required one week before the planned event. In the event of large weddings we required at least three weeks notice of guaranteed attendance.

Cancellations:
   Written cancellations are always required.  Cancellations are subjected to the following fees:
    1 Month or Greater                $150.00 Administration Fee
    2 Weeks to 1 Month                15 % Plus $150.00 Admin. Fee
    24 hrs to 1 Week                Deposit Forfeiture
    
   In the event of a natural disaster Sandstone will work with the client on re-booking the event date. If a date cannot be selected the client is only responsible for the Administration fee of $150.00 (One Hundred and Fifty Dollars).

Service and Staffing Fees:
    Sandstone catering is a full service catering company and provides many services for our clients. Here is a list of the services offered and the corresponding costs:
    Event Planning              $ 50.00 per hour
    Service Staff                  $ 40.00 per hour
    Bar Tender                    $ 40.00 per hour
    Executive Chef            $ 100.00 per hour
    Chef/ Cook                    $ 50.00 per hour

Other Fees:
    Drop Off                         $ 40.00 for Hilton Head/ $ 50.00 Bluffton
    Arranging Services            Cost Plus 15%


Disclaimer:
   Sandstone Catering is not responsible for outside vendor services which are not arranged by Sandstone Catering. Sandstone Catering is also not responsible for opening, closing, equipping or decorating venues that have been arranged for by the client. All venues not arranged by Sandstone Catering must be approved by the operations manager to ensure that all of the catering needs are properly addressed.
